NASA Wake Up Calls
Wake-up calls are a long-standing tradition of the NASA program. Each day during the mission, flight controllers in the Mission Control Center will greet the crew with an appropriate musical interlude.
Have a listen to the Flight Day 15 Blue Team wake up call - "Imagine" by John Lennon. And what the pilot has to say after it's done.

Funk Dancing for Self Defence
This has to be one of the funniest moments of the Simpsons.
From the episode - Secrets of a Succesfull Marriage - Disc 4 - 5th Season
Homer goes to take some Adult Education classes and walking past sneaks a peek at a few classes going on.
Moe's taking the "Funk Dancing for Self Defence" class.
Moe - "Say some gangster is dissing your fly girl, give him one of these."
Moe then breaks out to a breakdance routine that ends with him pulling a shotgun out and blasting off three shots into the air.

Flags of the world
Flags of the world is an interesting piece of art. After doing some research on country specific facts the flags were used to illustrate some pretty harsh realities about the country.
"We started to research relevant, global, and current facts and, thus, came up with the idea to put new meanings to the colours of the flags. We used real data taken from the web sites of Amnesty International and the UNO."

Google Earth
Recently Google's world domination plans seems to have snapped up an application that's been around for a while. It's a 10MB download file that enables the user to point and zoom to anyplace on the planet that you want to explore. Satellite images and local facts zoom into view.
It's the only atlas you'll ever need, and Google Earth impressed me so much it's earned itself a permanent link here on the Kappa files.
What the BLEEP Do We Know?!
Recently watched this amazing film after it was recommended. It's very difficult to explain and I find myself confused every time I begin to try.
So here's the site.
It's an awesome film that will change your view on things and let you in on life's big secret.
Palate - Bar Restaurant
If your looking for a great place to dine, some friends have recently opened Palate, located on Greville St Prahran, where the old Continental used to be, beneath Boutique.
Great food & wine, perfect for a relaxing early dinner any night of the week.
Tell them Kappa sent you. I won't get you anything, but tell em' anyway.
The Tipping Point
Currently reading The Tipping Point - How Little Things can Make a Big Difference as it was recommended by a friend with the few words, "It'll change that way you look at things". Well, he was right.
The Tipping Point by Malcom Gladwell is a great book on change. In particular, it's a book that presents a new way of understanding why change so often happens as quickly and as unexpectedly as it does.
